My Voice

A few months ago I posted a blog entitled “Like Them;” This is a follow-up to that post …

For the last 6 months or so it feels like I have been on a quest to seek, find and honor the real me. I have found great difficulty in engaging in what seems to be such a simple task. But I recognize that the complexity of this endeavor comes from the very nature of who I am: simply complex. The wholeness of who I am embraces so many things, none of which are tightly defined and much of which is without limits or boundaries.

So I return to the “Like Them” poem and see a discovery of the wholeness of me. Each day I am striving to embrace me … to love me … to be me without hesitation, definition, limitation, concerns of the opinions of others or my very own resistance.

Not only am I honoring me, but all that I am and all that I will become. My voice. My vision. My path. My destination. All of me …
